Introduction

Dear Members and Visitors,

Welcome to the Long Beach Table Tennis Club website.

The Long Beach Table Tennis Club was founded in 1933 as a non-profit organization established to promote the sport of table tennis and provide healthy recreation for the residents of Long Beach and neighboring communities. For many years, the club received tremendous support from the city of Long Beach and the Long Beach Unified School District, which enabled steady growth of membership.

In April 2009, by agreement with the city of Los Alamitos, a close neighbor of Long Beach, the club moved to the city’s Oak Gymnasium, located on Oak Street. With a prime location and extensive floor space, the club is comfortably equipped with 14 ITTF approved tournament-standard tables. The gym's hardwood flooring and first class lighting make it an ideal venue for table tennis practice and tournaments. Players of all levels and spectators are welcome.

Now that you have visited our website, take your paddle; come and have fun with us. Our officers and myself will be there to welcome you.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the members of our Executive Board, who volunteer their valuable time to serve the club. I also want to thank Mr. Doug Wheeler for his superb creation of our new club logo. Last but not the least, I want to thank my daughter, Denise, for her help in the construction of this website. I will greatly appreciate any members or friends who have good ideas for our website or are willing to do volunteer work for our club. I look forward to playing and working with you.

Sincerely,
Winston Ngai, President
